FCS Industry Forum

In March 2007 the FCS Board of directors set up the FCS Industry Forum as a project group reporting to it in order to provide strategic input on industry developments and an effective vehicle to address common or specific industry concerns.

The Forum’s role is to provide policy input to the FCS Board by:

Reviewing the major industry issues for FCS members
Developing a policy platform for FCS
Influencing Ofcom, European Commission, Government and other Regulators

Forum members

FCS chairman
FCS Board, including the CEO
Chairmen, co-chairmen and vice chairs of FCS member groups
FCS General Manager
Co-opted FCS members

Forum tasks

Brief the FCS chairman, CEO and Board on major industry issues
Agree a set of policy priorities for FCS and the industry
Set and monitor strategic objectives

 

Forum announcement

 

In June 2008 at the FCS AGM  the Forum has published the FCS policy statement setting out the major issues for the competitive communications services market in relation to:

  • radio spectrum access
  • competition in the mobile market
  • numbers
  • customer migrations
  • complaints processes
