FCS Chairman - Justin Orde
Justin Orde, non-Executive Director, Founder and Joint Managing Director of Spitfire, the leading voice and data solution provider. Following a six year tenure in the army Justin rose to the rank of Captain in The Light Dragoons and served in a number of operational theatres. After the army Justin established his first enterprise in the telecoms sector, which grew into the Gazelle Group PLC, one of the first companies to hold a mobile service provider licence for both Vodafone and O2. Justin left Gazelle following its sale to Millicom (later part of Hutchison Telecom). In 1988 Justin started Spitfire which today employs over 80 staff and has an annual turnover of £14 million. In addition to his duties as Joint Managing Director of Spitfire, Justin holds a number of positions on industry bodies including board membership of the NICC (Network Interoperability Consultative Committee) and Chair of the 21CN (Twenty First Century Network) Line Access Group. Away from work Justin enjoys piloting light aircraft and tennis. Justin was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of FCS in 2004 and Deputy Chairman in 2007, becoming the new FCS Chairman in July 2011.
Dave Dadds - Deputy Chairman
Dave Dadds has over 30 years experience in the telecoms business, starting at British Telecom and then going on to establish DRD Communications Ltd in 1986. Originally involved in the fixed line Business System market, call minutes and mobile phones, the business has evolved since 2005 into a "Cloud" application provider for business communications under the vanillaIP.com and qudo.com brands.
Dave is a director of the FCS , and Merton Chamber of Commerce. He lives with his partner in South London along with his 3 children, in his spare time Dave likes to play golf and enjoy life!
FCS Past Chairman - Adrian Grilli
Adrian Grilli has been the Managing Director, since February 1996, of the Joint Radio Company (JRC Ltd) responsible for managing radio spectrum for the UK gas and electricity industry. He is a chartered Electrical and Mechanical Engineer with a wealth of experience across a number of industrial sectors.
During 20 years at the DTI, he fulfilled a wide range of functions, including serving as a Director of the Radiocommunications Agency, managing EU Research & Development Programmes, and was seconded to the Science & Technology Secretariat in the Cabinet Office for three years.
Adrian was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of FCS in 2004 and appointed Chairman in May 2007. Adrian steps down in June 2011.
Jacqui Brookes OBE - CEO and Executive Director
Originally appointed in 1990 to manage the FCS trade association Jacqui has been CEO since 2002, with responsibility for representing and supporting members and developing the Federation. Jacqui’s experience covers representation to Government and regulators on radio spectrum, competition, markets and consumer issues, developing self regulatory schemes, including industry codes of practice, staging conferences and seminars, building FCS information services and launching the FCS Awards. Jacqui chaired the PPP Industry Liaison Panel from 2008-2010 and represents FCS on numerous industry and Ofcom committees.
Jacqui Brookes was awarded an OBE in the 2007 New Year's Honours List for services to the communications industry
Jacqui Brookes graduated in Industrial Chemistry at the City University and has previously worked in the IT industry for the FI Group, the DTI Energy Directorate and the Patent Office. She was also a Director of the Women's Engineering Society and ICWES-UK. Jacqui has worked with the lay magistracy in South-East London to appoint new magistrates and has been a member of the Steering committee of the UK Trade Association Forum.

Itret Latif - Non Executive Director
Itret Latif is Telecoms Business Manager of Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE), where he has worked since 1991. He has been instrumental in developing SSE’s retail communications business in the domestic sector over the last few years and therefore has experience of the challenges faced by new players in this market. Previous roles within SSE include the development of SSE’s Gas Supply business and, as an Executive member and Chairman of the Gas Forum, the development of industry governance arrangements for the gas supply industry.

Roy Pierce - Non Executive Director
Roy Pierce has been involved in many aspects of the electronics industry during his working life but always with a predominant interest in radio communication.
Roy qualified as a Chartered Engineer following a student apprenticeship with what was then Vidor Burndept and became involved with the design and manufacture of Radio/TV, Process Control, Military Communications and Private Mobile Radio. Burndept, a company originally founded in 1922, developed a strong market position in the supply of Police Radio in the 70’s and 80s and became the predominant world supplier of military survival radios for aircrew with the SARBE product. Roy rose to become Managing Director of Burndept before eventually leaving to set up Procom Communication Services in 1985. Procom is based in the south east and provides design, sales and maintenance of two way radio systems. Roy Pierce has been involved with the FCS as a Council member for many years and most recently as Chairman of the Business Radio Council. Roy was appointed to the Board in January 2009.

John Thomson - Non Executive Director
John Thomson is Product Development Manager at Panorama Antennas Ltd, designers and manufacturers of antennas for a wide range of wireless technologies. John has always worked in Telecoms, starting as an apprentice with Post Office Telephones, then running his own company specialising in the supply and installation of mobile radio, BT Radiophone and cellular. This was followed by a spell at Talkland, (a service provider), where John developed a vehicle installation and field maintenance team and franchised repair centres. He has worked at Panorama Antennas since 1995 and his current role involves technical support and working with both OEM and end users to develop antenna solutions. He is co-chairman of FCS Installers Committee, leads the antenna working group within the FCS 1362 code of practice review and recently worked on a review project with the Energy Institute to produce an updated installation document for fuel carrying vehicles. In his spare time, John is a parent Governor at his children’s school, enjoys dinghy sailing and spending time with his family. John was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in January 2008.
Introducing the Staff
Michael Eagle - General Manager
Michael Eagle has worked for many years with trade bodies and joined the FCS in 2004 from a membership based organisation within the motor trade. His significant experience includes working in liaison with Government departments and regulators. Michael graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in European Studies and also has an MBA.
Michael works across the whole range of FCS interest groups but focuses on the fixed and service provision sectors and is responsible for supporting the Fixed Service Provider, Numbering and VoIP groups.
Michael is a deputy chair of the CPS-WLR Commercial Group and also represents industry on the 21CN Migration Communications Group including serving as industry co-chair for the Reseller Communications Sub-group.
Michael was appointed as Trade Assocation Manager in 2004 and promoted to General Manager in 2008.
