Service providers and resellers are an important and growing force in the telephony sector delivering fixed line VoIP, broadband and mobile products, particularly to the UK business sector that relies on efficient and flexible service. To recognise and encourage these achievements, the FCS was looking for the outstanding suppliers. FCS Green Award
The telecommunications sector is aware of its responsibilities towards the environment and, in order to highlight innovation and environmental best practice within the industry, FCS established a new award for 2009 to encourage companies to compete and demonstrate how they are minimising their environmental impact. Vic Clements of Oakmead Consulting and chairman of the new FCS Green Award judging panel said “Overall, the judges were looking for environmental improvements and performance against planned targets, goals and objectives that show a significant level of scope and ambition".

FITAS Installer of the Year Award
The FITAS Installer of the Year Award is open to companies installing mobile equipment such as phones, radios, satnav and telematics into vehicles. The panel of judges, chaired by John Thomson of Panorama Antennas Ltd, was this year looking for examples of quality of service, best practice and customer satisfaction and encouraged applications from local, regional and national businesses and individual installers.

The FCS Awards Ceremony took place at 18.30 (following the FCS AGM) on the 18th June 2009 at the IET, Savoy Place, London, WC2R 0BL.
FCS would like to thank all those involved in the judging of the 2009 awards and the award sponsors for their support and the representatives from those sponsors who gave up their time to attend the ceremony and make the award presentations.
