The FCS Credit and Debt Management facility is a credit referencing and information sharing service provided by Graydon UK, one of the country’s leading credit information agencies.

The service provides access to a database that has been specifically designed with communications providers and resellers in mind. It allows communications providers to pool ‘up to the minute’ credit information and carry out online searches so that the credit vetting of new clients becomes a much
safer procedure.

The database incorporates sector specific information recording, for example, when TOS or call barring has been applied or when a line has been ceased or solicitors instructed. Also included is the reason for an action being taken, for example, credit limit exceeded, overdue payment, bounced cheque or failed direct debit.

In the case of the intelligence sharing network, this service is also available to non-FCS members to ensure maximum benefit from the comprehensive recording of data. However, FCS members do receive the benefit of discounted membership rates.
