FCS 1362 is the UK Code of Practice for the installation of mobile radio and related ancillary equipment into land based vehicles.
The code originated with the Ministry of Post & Telecommunications and was in the charge of the Radio Communications Agency when that body became a part of Ofcom in 2003. In 2005 responsibility for the code was passed to FCS.
The code is recognised across the UK as the 'de facto' standard for in-vehicle communications install and is also used in various countries worldwide.
FCS 1362 has undergone a comprehensive review during 2010 resulting in this latest version.
