Thursday 4th October 2018
Comms Provider is the FCS business and networking day for CPs in the fixed-line and mobile voice and data markets, along with applications providers. It is the key Industry event for CPs to discuss and reflect on changes and opportunities in constantly evolving markets. The opportunity for attendees to hear from top-level speakers, providing real ‘big picture’ perspectives, is unique amongst trade bodies in the industry, and there is plenty of time allowed for members and guests to debate and discuss with colleagues and peers over coffee, lunch and an informal post-event drinks party.
When: Thursday 4th October 2018
Time: Registration from 09.15. Conference programme from 10.00 - 15.30
Where: Eversheds-Sutherland, 1 Wood Street, London. EC2V 7WS
To Register: Visit Eventbrite to book your place. Members - Free, Non Members - £75
The theme is “Creating Competitive Markets” and there will be two panel sessions, covering “Transition to Digital Networks” and “Trading on Digital Networks”.
Our opening keynote speech will set the tone for the Industry’s move away from WLR and towards Fibre, helping CPs to understand the road map and the ways that they can work with Openreach.
Speakers Announced So Far...
Raj Kalia (BDUK) - The end of WLR and push for FTTP
I’m very pleased to be opening FCS’ Comms Provider conference this October presenting on the future of digital connectivity. With government providing the framework for Full Fibre and 5G, events such as this which bring market-leaders and top industry professionals together to share knowledge and information are essential to stay ahead and making the future happen.
Session 1: Transition to Digital Networks
Mark Logan (Openreach) - Working with Industry
Mark Collins (City Fibre) – Network Extension Plan
Justin Leese (BDUK) – Government Strategy
William Webb (Weightless SIG) - Aspiring to full fibre and 5G
I’m looking forward to presenting at this year’s Comms Provider as these are times of both opportunity and challenge in the world of 5G and being able to discuss these with a knowledgeable and influential audience is by far the best way to build consensus and deliver on the promise of being connected everywhere.
