Ofcom requirements for Automatic Compensation

Ofcom has introduced a new GC condition which came into force at the start of this month, relating to automatic compensation for SMEs. The condition is concerned with incidents of:

  • Failure to activate services on an agreed date
  • Loss of service
  • Missed appointments

 

CPs who work with SMEs are required to provide information upfront about whether they offer service level agreements and if so what compensation attaches to them (a and b below), whether they do not offer standard SLAs/compensation (c below) or whether they offer a bespoke arrangement for one or both (d below).
