Opportunity to input to Ofcom's review of IP interconnection

Posted on 11/06/2018

We have been invited by Ofcom to share our views for a review of IP interconnection and the regulatory system required to support this.

In the 2017 Narrowband Market Review, Ofcom reviewed BT’s provision of interconnection and decided to continue to regulate BT’s Time Division Multiplex (TDM) interconnection at its Digital Local Exchanges (DLEs) to support wholesale call origination and termination services.  BT is also subject to an access-related condition which requires BT to purchase termination from other providers as long as the charges and terms and conditions are reasonable.
