FCS Service Charge Checker

As of July 1, the way you pay for calls to ‘Non-Geographic’ numbers (084x, 087x), Premium Rate numbers (09x) and Directory Enquiries services (118x) has changed.  You now pay your phone company’s access charge (your provider should have told you what this is; it should be detailed on your bill or you can see it on your phone company’s website), plus a separate service charge which is specific to the number you call. To see what the service charge element looks like, just follow the link below and enter the first seven digits of the phone number, including the leading zero (eg: 0843400).

Approved Modems for FTTC

From 1 April 2016, Customer Premises Equipment Enablement (CPE Enablement) with respect to the installation of Generic Ethernet Access-Fibre to the Cabinet (GEA-FTTC) service will be the only method for provision. CPs will issue their own modem, rather than use an Openreach supplied one. All modems used should have passed Openreach Modem Conformance Testing.
