Ofcom Consultation: Updating and clarifying customers’ right to exit contracts for broadband services

Ofcom has voluntary codes of practice on broadband speeds for residential and business customers, which give customers the right to exit their broadband contract and bundled services, without penalty, if their download speed falls below a minimum guaranteed speed.

They are consulting on updating these codes so that the right to exit applies to broadband and other bundled services are in line with Ofcom’s revised General Conditions of Entitlement (‘revised GC’s) which will be implemented from 17 June 2022
