Openreach joined the call to provide an insight into their proposals for a new repair model for their FTTC and SOGEA products, which includes allowing CPs to raise ‘proactive faults’ (ones not instigated by an end customer issue) under certain circumstances. Openreach also provided a run through of their Broadband fault management best practice, which Members may find useful to share around their organisations.
FCS provided an update on the recent publication of Ofcom’s plans to deliver the EECC and the Switching proposals. The FCS team also reported back from the recent All IP Transition Steering Board and Working Groups and the issues with customer communications around the proposals and the upcoming Stop Sell in Salisbury. The collateral and meeting notes have already been shared with members directly via e-mail including a request for feedback on Members future repair requirements such as proactive repair.
