The April CSP meeting had a packed agenda. It included presentations from Openreach on their COVID-19 response, the WLR Withdrawal programme, the PoS guidance for SOGEA installs and the Ethernet Network in Advance Product. In addition the FCS team reported back from latest industry Commercial and Service meetings and Ofcom consultations. Following FCS' recent letter regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the communications industry, we have been offered a meeting with Ofcom, which will take place next week - on Wednesday 22nd April.
At that session FCS will be discussing the following topics:

Openreach and Ofcom Respond to FCS Request for COVID-19 Support
Following the letter sent by FCS last week, Openreach has introduced a number of commercial measures aimed at helping communications providers to manage business customers who have reduced or shut down their operations and wish to suspend their communication services - or are otherwise struggling to pay the charges. FCS has today sent a letter to Clive Selley, CEO of Openreach, setting out our concerns about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the communications industry and its customers, and propose, at a high level, possible ways forward to mitigate potential harm to both providers and end users. Similar letters have been sent to Ofcom and the UK Government.
