FITAS is the accreditation which ensures your vehicle installations will be carried out to FCS1362.

FCS1362 is the UK Code of Practice for the installation of mobile radio and related ancillary equipment in land-based vehicles. It formed the core of and subsequently replaced the NAPFM Installation Guide for blue-light fleets.

FCS1362 is also referenced in public sector procurement documents (E.g. RM6382 & 6244).

FCS1362 is recognised by Industry as the ‘de facto’ standard for vehicle installation in the UK and is widely used elsewhere in the world.

Please note that the purchase of services and equipment under the Procurement Act will move from RM6244 to RM6382 towards the end of 2026.
