Dave Dadds
Non Executive Director
HNC in Building Studies
Dave Dadds has over 30 years experience in the telecoms business, starting at British Telecom and then going on to establish DRD Communications Ltd in 1986. Originally involved in the fixed line Business System market, call minutes and mobile phones, the business has evolved since 2005 into a “Cloud” application provider for business communications under the vanillaIP.com and qudo.com brands.
Dave is a director of the FCS and Merton Chamber of Commerce; he was elected to Chair in 2016. He lives with his partner in South London along with his 3 children. In his spare time Dave likes to play golf and enjoy life!
Itret Latif
CEO
Itret Latif joined the FCS board in 2009 and was appointed FCS Deputy Chairman in summer 2016. He also brings more than 18 years of telecoms and energy industry leadership, regulatory and policy development expertise and management experience. Itret has held several leading non-executive director positions in Telecoms and Energy and has been invited to provide evidence to both the House of Commons and House of Lords on telecoms and energy. In his evidence to the House of Lords in 2012 he was first to identify broadband as an essential service and a utility. At the same hearing, he called for Regulatory change and restructuring of BT with Openreach being separated to become a legal entity owning both the infrastructure assets and engineering operation.
As a former senior executive of Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE), he established and headed highly profitable SSE retail telecoms and gas businesses. Other roles include Chairman respectively of the Gas Forum and SPAA organisations where he led on behalf of members the development of industry governance arrangements for the gas supply industry retail competition. He has considerable experience and appreciation of the challenges faced by new entrants. He brings a wealth of leadership, business policy development and regulatory experience to the FCS Board.
John Thomson
Deputy Chairman
John Thomson is Technical Sales & Support Manager at Panorama Antennas Ltd, designers and manufacturers of antennas for a wide range of wireless technologies.
John has always worked in Telecoms, starting as an apprentice with Post Office Telephones, moving through various departments culminating in radio and data services. He then ran his own company specialising in the supply and installation of mobile radio, BT Radiophone and cellular mobile phones. This was followed by a period at Talkland International, (a cellular service provider), where John developed a vehicle installation and field maintenance team and subsequently a network of franchised mobile phone repair centres.
He has worked at Panorama Antennas since 1995 where his role involves providing product technical support and technical training for Panorama global sales teams and customer projects, product compliance testing and troubleshooting.
He is Chairman of FCS Installers Committee, which is the lead group for maintenance and review of the FCS 1362 code of practice and worked on a review project with the Energy Institute to produce FCS1364, the updated ‘pet reg’ installation document for fuel carrying vehicles.
John was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in January 2008.
Martyn King
Non Executive Director
Martyn King is an experienced operations professional with over 35 years in the telecommunications industry; including an extensive technical background in BT, Mercury/Cable and Wireless and CableTel/Ntl: (now Virgin Media). Throughout his career he gained detailed telephone switching, transmission systems, CATV, fixed radio access, network management and submarine cable systems experience.
He has held previous management/director positions in a number of UK companies including Ionica, Redstone Telecom, Band-X and Zimo Communications, and was Managing Director of Nexbridge Communications and Director of UK conference call business WHYPAY? for over 10 years until 2022.
Martyn set up the BT IP Exchange Customer Forum in 2011; an environment for fellow CPs of IP Exchange to discuss operational concerns and help develop and shape the product. He chaired the forum for over 6 years. Martyn has also been an active member of the OTA Number Port Executive Steering Group since its inception.
In his spare time, Martyn is a trustee for registered charity South Powys Youth Music, and Non Executive Director of Lampeter based youth organisation Stage Goat Theatre Company CIC.
Richard Russell
Non Executive Director
With a diverse a diverse telecommunications career spanning 38 years, Richard Russell gained extensive experience in Business and Mission Critical narrow and broadband radio communication technologies.
Richard is proud to have joined Tait Communications in July 2018 as Business Development & Indirect Chanel Sales Manager UK & Ireland. Focused on critical communications for Utilities, Transportation and in particular Public Safety and development of distribution channels sales. Richard is convinced “This is an area of special relevance with exciting developments of solutions from Tait that will add real-life value to our front-line services”.
Richard spent 25 years at Motorola, having numerous technical and business positions including Product Management of Devices and Infrastructure, Business Development for Accessories & Energy and Go-To-Market Product Specialist. Having worked with Fire Rescue Service and SCBA manufacturers, Richard drove a development program of fire ground incident communications and SCBA communication solutions to significantly improve the quality of fire fighter communications and enhance their safety.
After leaving Motorola, Richard obtained valuable experience at Roadphone NRB, who specialise in resilient (life safety) digital radio communications infrastructure solutions. They have been deployed across Critical National Infrastructure, corporate (high profile), high value facilities and iconic real estate through-out London and UK.
Richard is a contributor & adviser to industry journals and is proud to be a non-executive director with the FCS and volunteers time and support of British APCO as an Executive Committee Member of BAPCO.
Megan Corcoran
Non Executive Director
With a career which has facilitated her concentrated operational knowledge of the communications industry, Megan started as a trainee cad technician in the design and engineering department for a fibre design and manufacturing company in the late 1990s. In 2003 she moved to Sprint Ltd TA SCS, a specialist business communications provider. Within four years, she was promoted to Operations Director at just 27 years old, from which role she saw SCS through substantial growth until its eventual sale in 2020.
Megan has always been highly active within a variety of industry fora, and as a member of FCS since 2005 and Co-Chair of CSP (formerly FSP) from 2012-2020, has driven many changes to the benefit of the industry. She has represented the smaller CP and the business market in numerous consultations and developments and is the voice of the small provider at fixed line industry fora.
David Alldritt
Chairman
David’s background includes a long military career, then building and selling a retail business before an accidental move into the world of telecoms from which he has never looked back. David joined HighNet from Caudwell Communications in 2005, working in channel partner development until his interest in VoIP technology and the potential of cloud services saw him move through product management and into his current role. Significant milestones with HighNet include the build of their business-only ISP network in 2011/12, being amongst the first movers into Scotland’s only Internet Exchange in Edinburgh a few years later, and recently driving Glasgow’s connectivity into the Gigabit age in partnership with CityFibre. As an advocate of growth through digital innovation, David has been active in informing and lobbying industry bodies, regulators and government for greater investment in national digital infrastructure and skills.
David is married with 3 daughters, and outside of business he enjoys whitewater kayaking, skiing and golf.
Simon Parsons
Non Executive Director
Simon has worked in radiocommunications for over 40 years, starting off with the Radiocommunications Agency and later as spectrum manager for the fuel and power industry’s mobile radio systems with the JRC.
He has wide experience of practical and regulatory matters regarding radiocommunications and radio coverage planning software and techniques. He currently works for LS telcom as a Senior Consultant and is a member of the FCS Business Radio Council.
Richard Gill
Head of Regulatory Affairs
Richard has over 36 years of telecommunications experience working in BT performing a wide range of managerial roles. Since the inception of Openreach Richard has been a Product Manager for; LLU, Service Products, FTTP and for the five years up to June 2019 was their product lead for FTTC. In all these roles Richard worked closely with CPs to enhance the specification and service offered. He has attended and presented to many of the regular industry forums and is familiar with the Concept to Market process. He has lots of experience working with the OTA and Ofcom on regulatory matters.
Richard ensures FCS members are kept up to date with all the latest product and regulatory developments in the Access market, runs the monthly FCS Customer Service Providers call and will do his best to answer any queries you may have.
He lives in Wiltshire, ironically in a non-fibre enabled village, with his wife Jenny and enjoys golf, tennis, cycling and walking.
Tim Cull
Head of Regulatory Affairs
Tim Cull has been engaged in professional radio communications for all his business career. Tim owns and manages Telecom Policy Services Ltd which provides contracted support to companies over a range of topics from the provision of professional (operational) radio-communications services through to environmental policy support.
He brings this knowledge to his work with FCS, where he has been Head of Business Radio for the last seven years.
Steve Kerr
Head of Regulatory Compliance
Steve spent many years working in the BT Equivalence of Access Office (EAO) supporting the independent Equality of Access Board (EAB) monitoring and reporting on BT compliance with the Undertakings and latterly the Openreach Commitments Monitoring Office (CMO) supporting the Openreach Board Audit and Regulatory Compliance Committee (OBARCC) monitoring and reporting on Openreach compliance with the Commitments. During his years in the EAO and CMO, Steve led the teams’ industry engagement and was often in communication with FCS members (and the FCS), Ofcom, OTA2 and the wide CP community to fully understand, investigate and help to resolve industry concerns around Openreach and BT regulatory compliance and the required provision of equivalence and equal treatment for all Communication Providers.
Stefanie Norman
Head of Regulation and Public Affairs
Stefanie has spent over 30 years within the Telecommunications market, working at BT and Openreach. In her last role at Openreach she was the Director of Business Integrity responsible for risk, compliance and network regulation. Her compliance role included regulatory compliance, data compliance, ethics and environmental compliance – in fact the whole kit and caboodle.
Stefanie will be involved in consultations, dealing with member queries and also developing FCS relationships with Government mainly dealing with Communication Provider members, though as the market place is converging, there will be overlaps with the Business Radio members.

Claire Westgate
Events Manager
Claire is a professional conference and event manager with over 14 years’ experience and a full member of ABPCO (Association for Professional Conference Organisers). She started her career working in London for specialised B2B media groups – EMAP and Centaur Media where she delivered events for publications such as Retail Week, Architects Journal and The Lawyer. Claire is the project manager for FCS’s conference and events.

Jenny Lowrey

Jenny has over seven years experience in sales, business development, and event management including being Sales Manager at St. James’ Park, home of Newcastle United Football Club, as well as Business Development Manager at Silverbean affiliate marketing agency.
